PCT (International) Patent Application Services

In our PCT Patent Applications, we typically:
  • provide an up-front fixed-fee quote with scope-of-work;
  • amend existing specification and drawings to comply with international rules;
  • resolve foreign vs. U.S. Applicant, Owner, and Inventorship issues;
  • prepare PCT application submission paperwork;
  • file the PCT application;
  • take responsibility for and receive application into our docketing systems;
  • watch over deadlines, especially requesting status reports for late International Search Reports;
  • provide notice of national stage filing deadlines prior to expiration of PCT application; and
  • remain in communication with client as needed.
Upon receipt of the PCT International Search Report and Written Opinion, we typically:
  • review it to determine proper response – informal comments or claim amendments;
  • send copy to client with our recommendation(s);
  • prepare & file an updated Information Disclosure Statement in any related pending U.S. applications;
  • prepare & file informal comments or claim amendments;
  • send copy of filed response to client; and
  • remain in communication with client as needed.

Foreign National Stage Patent Services

In our Foreign National Stage Patent Applications, we typically:
  • provide an up-front quote with scope-of-work;
  • identify appropriate foreign associate;
  • resolve translation issues, if any;
  • provide foreign associate with any required information and/or documents;
  • instruct foreign associate to file the national stage application;
  • receive application into our docketing systems; and
  • remain in communication with client as needed, especially regarding upcoming deadlines.

U. S. National Stage Patent Services

For our U. S. National Stage Patent Applications, we typically:
  • provide an up-front fixed-fee quote with scope-of-work;
  • amend existing foreign specification and drawings to comply with U.S. rules;
  • resolve foreign vs. U.S. Applicant, Owner, and Inventorship issues;
  • prepare U.S. National Stage application submission paperwork;
  • file the U.S. National Stage application;
  • take responsibility for and receive application into our docketing systems;
  • watch over deadlines, especially checking application status every 3 to 4 months;
  • receive any Office Action or communication & forward to client with our recommendation(s); and
  • remain in communication with client as needed, especially providing regular status reports.
